Bill Mitchelson wrote (in December 2002): "I don't know what the occasion was but it appears as though Joe Kemp, right, and myself are dressed for something, maybe school, perhaps church, but it is in our back yard at 7 Green Lane, Oxhey, and we are properly attired in Kindsfield blazers, yellow caps and shorts. I would gues this was summer wear because I recall and scratchy gray flannel shorts and knee socks that seemed to be what we wore all the time. The date in my mother's old photo album says only 1938. I was nine years old.
